Introduction
This five-day course teaches practical skills for planning and running advocacy campaigns in NGOs. Participants learn how to spot policy opportunities, map power, and build persuasive messages. The course covers digital and offline tactics, coalition-building, and basic risk management. Sessions combine short briefs, case studies and hands-on exercises. The focus is on producing campaign materials and plans you can use immediately.
Objectives
2. Map and prioritise stakeholders and decision-makers, and create targeted engagement plans.
3. Write and test messages for key audiences and select appropriate digital and offline channels.
4. Build an integrated campaign plan that includes partnerships, media outreach and a risk register.
5. Define indicators, collect baseline data, and prepare concise monitoring reports to show campaign progress and influence.

- All training sessions are conducted from Monday to Friday, following the standard working week observed in the United Kingdom and European Union. Saturday and Sunday are official weekends and are not counted as part of the course duration.
